Macha Bee-keepers association

Among entrepreneurial activities in Macha community is a bee-keeping association project situated at Mabweatuba in Macha.

The bee-keeping initiative was natured by Mr. Misheck Chimbongwe in 2001 after realizing the potential of the project.

Simple bee-hives are being used; see below;

 Currently the  bee-keeping project at Macha serves as a small income generating  activity for both men and women in the community with the following objectives:

1. create an African mind free through the use of natural resource

2.To sustain the Macha community through small entreprenurial activity by keeping bees and tree planting
3. creat a market for the bee-keepers to sale their produce(honey)

4. to vigorously use internet as a marketing platform within and outside Macha

5. to teach more than 400 farmers in bee-keeping within the period of three years and ensure that each and every farmer has a beehieve

6. To train interested farmer in bee-keeping through Vision Community Radio Macha this will foster interaction between farmers and trainers

7.To open tree planting centers in order reduce global warming

With these objectives Macha bee-keeping association hopes to emerge as the most successful community business enterprise in the province. As a starting business, we appeal to both local and international community for aid in order to boost our expansion.
